Position 1: 

Fundraising Coordinator

Duties

The fundraising area is a key pillar for MiPequeñaAyuda – MySmallHelp Peru, as it seeks to obtain greater support to continue helping children and young people with disabilities or low income in vulnerable areas of Cusco through the programs offered. Therefore, the Fundraising Coordinator will be in charge of planning and executing fundraising strategies, as well as evaluating potential medium and long-term fundraising opportunities locally and internationally.

  • Perform the planning and implementation of fundraising strategies.
  • Perform research on foundations and corporations to evaluate potential grants and awards, as well as prepare the candidacy dossiers.
  • Prepare fundraising analysis, evaluation, budgets and execution reports.
  • Ensure that current donors are recognized for their support and well informed through reports and updates.
  • Launch fundraising campaigns with view to seeking potential collaborators.
  • Network and build new partnerships with relevant stakeholders and organizations (including current and potential donors, companies, foundations, universities, among others).
  • Register and maintain accurate records in our grant database for all grant requests and awards.
  • Organize fundraising events locally and online (coordinating with the marketing volunteer), providing  support in logistics, publicity and preparing the post-event reports. 
  • Tasks would include attending fundraising meetings, brainstorming sessions, logistical tasks and proposing further development opportunities regarding fundraising.
  • Ensure the correct representation of MySmallHelp Peru and its image usage, with the beneficiaries, schools, authorities, and local or international key partners.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or degree in International Relations, Management, Communications, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in fundraising or communication. Experience with research and grant writing is a plus.
  • Intermediate level of written and spoken Spanish and English, minimum.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
  • Clear and persuasive communication and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational, and planning skills. 
  • Basic knowledge of social media usage.
  • Creative, reliable, proactive, and willing to devote quality time towards fundraising tasks.
  • Able to work in a team environment and accept guidance and direction from staff members.

Position 2: 

Marketing and Social Media Volunteer 

Location: Online
Period: 6 months minimum or more
Schedule: 10 hours per week
Reports to: Director 

Position Available from June 2021

Duties

The marketing volunteer will participate in the planning and execution of marketing strategies to increase the organization’s awareness locally and internationally. 

  • Prepare weekly content (text and photos regarding MSH life, projects, disabilities, etc.) for social media updates (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) both in Spanish and English, ideally on a daily basis; encouraging interaction with users and increasing the number of followers to our social media. 
  • Create marketing communication tools, either audio-visual or written (trimestral newsletters, testimonials, videos, flyers, etc.) in coordination with the graphic design volunteer, and other internal or external reports/tools as requested.
  • Update website contents with the web manager, including planning and writing blog entries for our website, propose Search Engine Optimization and inbound links to the website, according to the marketing strategy.
  • Assist in the development, concept, design and execution of marketing campaigns and calendars.
  • Propose, monitor and coordinate the distribution of our promotional leaflets by our staff, members and supporters and identifying new opportunities for leaflet distribution. 
  • Prepare monthly social media analysis reports, according to proposed objectives and targets, as well as budget reports. 
  • Assist in the planning of events locally and online, including logistics, publicity, preparing the post-event reports, organizing the audiovisual recording of all activities, and updating the calendar of events including potential events, festivals, and disability-related projects to build awareness.
  • Organize and update the photographic and audio-visual database and coordinate with the staff and volunteers to request desired information for developing contents. 
  • Contact local and international potential partners and allies.
  • Contact national and international media and writing materials with a view to obtaining media coverage; and coordinate with the staff to obtain the necessary information, photographs and interviews if required. 
  • Develop and manage an accurate database of websites and directories where the organization and volunteer program can be listed. This may include local authority websites, disabilities organizations, etc. 
  • Ensure the correct representation of MySmallHelp Peru and its image usage, with the beneficiaries, schools, authorities, and local or international key partners. 
  • Tasks would include attending marketing meetings, brainstorming sessions, participation in online events, logistical tasks, and proposing further opportunities regarding marketing. There might be events on some nights or weekends, depending on the project’s needs.
  • Other activities that may apply.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in marketing or communication. Digital marketing is a plus.
  • Intermediate level of written and spoken Spanish and English, minimum.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and social media sites. Adobe-Illustrator or Corel Draw, is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

Position 3: 

Graphic Designer Volunteer 

Location: Online
Period: 3 months minimum or more
Schedule: 8 hours per week
Reports to: Director 

Position Available from August 2021

Duties

The graphic design volunteer will participate in the execution of the marketing strategies to increase the organization’s awareness locally and internationally. 

  • Design for print, video, graphics, social, email and other digital mediums to be used for marketing or other promotional purposes.  
  • Design layouts for the website, newsletters, donation emails and materials for marketing and fundraising events.
  • Create and develop the MSH Peru brand book. Adapt and enhance existing brand design standards, such as icons, images, logo, and other components.
  • Work with the marketing and social media volunteer on a weekly basis to develop content for social media, including social feed images, Instagram stories, and any other material requested. 
  • Assist in development, concept, design and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Follow a marketing calendar and meet deadlines to ensure content is created on time.
  • Tasks would include attending marketing meetings, brainstorming sessions and proposing further opportunities regarding marketing campaigns.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in graphic design for different media. Experience in digital content is a plus.
  • Intermediate level of written and spoken Spanish and English, minimum.

Position 4:

Administrative Assistant Volunteer

Location: Online
Period:  6 months minimum or more

Reports to: Director / Project and Volunteer Coordinator

Position Available from June 2021

Duties

The Administrative Volunteer will participate in the planning and execution of the organization’s strategies to improve its processes and increase its awareness locally and internationally. He/she will work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers. 

  • Assist the MSH Peru staff with any sorts of administrative tasks. This may include: reviewing and preparing documents, organizing paperwork, reviewing the MSH Peru emails, scheduling appointments and staff meetings, updating calendars, and researching information regarding disabilities, non-profit management, or other as requested.
  • Assist in project management activities and coordination with local and international partners and stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing documents, guidelines and policies for improving existing processes, and the implementation of evaluation and monitoring reports.
  • Manage and update accurately the contact database, including partners, stakeholders and others.
  • Prepare letters and internal or external reports.
  • Prepare evaluation and execution reports, accountability reports and budgets.
  • Coordinate with other volunteers and team members on a daily/weekly basis, in assuring the compliance of the administrative tasks assigned, and other coordinations if needed.
  • Ensure the correct representation of MySmallHelp Peru, with the beneficiaries, schools, authorities, and local or international key partners. 
  • Tasks would include attending staff meetings, brainstorming sessions, participation in online events, logistical tasks, and proposing further opportunities regarding the management of MSH Peru and its projects. There might be events on some nights or weekends, depending on project’s needs.

Position 5: 

Fundraising and Grant Writing Volunteer

Position 6: 

Community Manager

Location:  Online
Period:  6 months minimum or more

Duties

The community manager volunteer will participate in the planning of marketing strategies to increase the organization’s awareness locally and internationally. 

  • Prepare weekly content (text and photos regarding MSH life, projects, disabilities, etc.) for social media updates (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) both in Spanish and English, ideally on a daily basis; encouraging interaction with users and increasing the number of followers to our social media. 
  • Liaise with other members of the marketing team to stay updated on new marketing initiatives, and to ensure consistency in the marketing strategy.
  • Respond to comments and messages on social media platforms in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends

Position 7: 

  Volunteer Educator

Location:  Online
Period:  6 months minimum or more

Duties

The Volunteer Educator/Teacher will be in charge of managing the pedagogic programs for the beneficiaries by coordinating with their families and educational institutions.  He/she will work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers, and will be under the Director and the Project Coordinator’s supervision.

  •  Provide pedagogic support for children and youth who have needs related to physical, social, emotional, and mental health, as well as cognition, learning difficulties, and other special education needs.
  • Update and/or create the Individualized Development Plans for each beneficiary according to their specific needs in coordination with the schools and families.
  • Coordinate with educational institutions to facilitate a process for inclusion so that children may participate in a general education program, whenever possible. 
  • Facilitate weekly individualized and collective online classes in the families’ home or community setting, encouraging consistency between the school and home. These classes may include components of basic physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy exercises.
  • Create and develop educational tools and handouts. 
  • Prepare evaluation and execution reports on a monthly basis on all tasks and responsibilities to MSH staff, and budgets if needed.
  • Provide basic training for other volunteers, parents, and third parties from partner institutions who are interested in becoming involved in specialized education.  
  • Propose further educational development opportunities regarding the beneficiaries and local communities in Cusco or other cities chosen by the MSH Administration.
  • Manage the administrative tasks (organize paperwork, search information regarding disabilities, or other tasks requested), logistical tasks, as well as managing the budget when needed.
  • Ensure the correct representation of MySmallHelp with the beneficiaries, schools, local authorities, and key partners.

Position 8: 

 Physical Therapist

Location:  Online
Period:  6 months minimum or more
Schedule:  10 hours per week
Reports to:  Project Coordinator

Duties

The Physical Therapist Volunteer  will be in charge of developing and providing therapies to the beneficiaries by coordinating with their families and staff.  He/she will work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers, and will be under the Project Coordinator’s supervision.

  • Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms.
  • Create individualized therapy plans for each beneficiary according to their specific needs in coordination with the schools and families.
  • Teach the beneficiaries and their families how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques at home.
  • Facilitate weekly individualized and collective online stimulation therapies or massage to promote healing (through video chats).
  • Maintain patient records and keep track of goals and progress.
  • Document patient progress according to documentation procedures.
  • Report beneficiaries progress to staff involved in ongoing treatment/care of patients.
  • Prepare evaluation and execution reports on a monthly basis on all tasks and responsibilities to MSH staff. 
  • Provide basic training for other volunteers, parents, and third parties from partner institutions who are interested in becoming involved in specialized education.  
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational or health workshops; reviewing professional publications, etc.
  • A strong sense of empathy and the ability to motivate patients into pushing their limits in a responsible and safe way.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Training in physical therapy or kinesiology.
  • Intermediate level of written and spoken Spanish, minimum. Intermediate level of English is a plus.
  • Strong time management  and planning skills.
  • Reliable, proactive, charismatic, emphatic and willing to help wherever is needed.

Position 9: 

Volunteer Psychologist

Location:   Online
Period:  6 months minimum or more
Schedule:  15 hours per week

Duties

We are currently looking for a long-term Volunteer Psychologist (1 year or more) to provide psychological support to the beneficiaries. 

  •  Provide psychological support for children and adults who have needs related to physical, social, emotional, and mental health, as well as other special education needs.
  • Create evaluations and assessments including the beneficiary’s history and needs.
  • Manage psychological therapy and home visit intervention with the children and their families.
  • Develop and facilitate parent support groups.  These are to form a sense of community and allow discussion of family dynamics, provide information regarding disabilities and resources, and include other topics of the families’ choice. 
  • Coordinate and participate in discussion forums with educators, social workers, and other therapists regarding alcoholism, domestic violence, and disabilities.
  • Propose further development in the psychological field as related to the organization. 
  • Provide monthly reports on all tasks and responsibilities to MSH staff. 
  • Participate in administrative tasks and give support in other tasks as requested.
  • Ensure the correct representation of MySmallHelp with the beneficiaries, schools, local authorities, and key partners.
  • There might be events on some nights or weekends, depending on the project’s needs.
  • All information is required to be reported to MSH staff.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related fields.
  • Work experience in the professional field of psychology.      
  • Strong interest or experience working with people with disabilities, is a plus.
  • Advanced level of written and spoken Spanish, minimum. Intermediate level of English is a plus.
  • Strong time management  and planning skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, charismatic, emphatic, organized and willing to help wherever needed.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
